Andy Matuschak describes Evergreen Notes as having a few principles:

• Evergreen notes should be atomic
• Evergreen notes should be concept-oriented
• Evergreen notes should be densely linked
• Prefer associative ontologies to hierarchical taxonomies
• Write notes for yourself by default, disregarding audience

This practice is built on the foundation of Niklas Luhmann’s Zettelkasten.

It also reminds me of the concept of a Digital Garden
