After looking longingly at National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) for several years, I’ve decided this year to give it a shot.
This will (likely) mean a departure from my regularly schedule programming (i.e., publishing new posts on this blog), but stays with the spirit of my goal for the year that I will improve my writing by “writ[ing] and shar[ing] something for every day of the year.”
If you’re interested in following along with my progress, you can find the public repository here.
While I’ve started writing narratives in the past, they’ve always been short lived projects which stall as soon as I realize I don’t have a story and am more interested in world-building than actually finding a story and writing. I’m hoping that I’ve grown a bit in the intervening years since my last effort and will be able to at least produce a storyline that, if not polished, is somewhat compelling!
No matter the outcome (can you tell I’m trying to set low expectations?), I will feel accomplished if I write every day! See you on the other side.
